I think Ladakh is the best place in North India to travel and visiting Monasteries and Pangong Lake was one of the best experience for me.
Thiksey Monastery & Pangong Lake Ladakh
Day 11 : 11th June 2017 : Enroute Thiksey Monastery – Chang La Pass – Pangong Lake
As I mentioned earlier, Ishey Aunty (Travel Agent) called me on 5.10 AM for Thikse Monastery & Pangong Lake Travel. We started from LSRC (Army Camp, Phyang), Ishey Aunty picked-up we all & dropped at her office. Ishey Aunty was very funny. She was cracking good jokes to make us laugh.

We started from Leh City. Car booked was Mahindra XYLO & Driver was Dorjee, quite good person.
After travelling 29kms we haulted for Thiksey Monastery.
We reached around 8.00 AM over there. The architecture of these temples are simply outstanding.

As we entered; everyone was feeling calm.
You can say the power of chanting mantras.(Buddhism). Luckily we reached on time for Morning Aarti (Worship Time).

After that we went upstairs. Terrace like structure was there.

We had breakfast at Chamba Restaurant in Monastery only.

After having breakfast we started for Pangong Lake.
It was famous due to 3 idiots Movie. So we all were very eager to see that World Famous lake.
The route was very scenic.

We reached Chang-La top. It is 17586 Ft from sea level.

Chang-La Top is like Khardung-La Top cause you get some severe headache due to high-altitute & lack of oxygen problem. Bring Kapur & good warm clothes with you.

Pangong Tso Ladakh

“Pangong Tso, Tibetan for “high grassland lake”, also referred to as Pangong Lake, is an endorheic lake in the Himalayas situated at a height of about 4,350 m. It is 134 km long and extends from India to China.”
That feeling when we reached Pangong was marvellous.
We went to Rancho’s Point (3 idiots Movie) and had time over there. We sat over there and clicked many photos.

Pangong lake’s water having 7 different colours if you see in the sunlight. It was such a clean water in the way can see depth of the Pangong lake.
We had lunch in the hotel nearby lake as Maggie & snacks. They offered good food. Restaurant’s name was also Rancho’s Restaurant.
We started return journey on 3.00 PM.
Before Chang-La pass we took halt where we have seen Yak Fight.

While returning we took some amazing pictures with once in a lifetime experiences. These beautiful views added cherry on top to our trip.

We took next halt at Chang-La Top near Indian Army centre. Had Maggie and started for Lake..

We reached in Leh around 6.00 PM and went to LSRC. It was one of the great day in my life.
Next day we started return journey to Srinagar.
