Why Travelling to Thiksey Monastery & Pangong Tso Ladakh is a good idea

I think Ladakh is the best place in North India to travel and visiting Monasteries and Pangong Lake was one of the best experience for me.

Thiksey Monastery & Pangong Lake Ladakh

Day 11 : 11th June 2017 : Enroute Thiksey Monastery – Chang La Pass – Pangong Lake

As I mentioned earlier, Ishey Aunty (Travel Agent) called me on 5.10 AM for Thikse Monastery & Pangong Lake Travel. We started from LSRC (Army Camp, Phyang), Ishey Aunty picked-up we all & dropped at her office. Ishey Aunty was very funny. She was cracking good jokes to make us laugh.

We started from Leh City. Car booked was Mahindra XYLO & Driver was Dorjee, quite good person.

After travelling 29kms we haulted for Thiksey Monastery.

We reached around 8.00 AM over there. The architecture of these temples are simply outstanding.

As we entered; everyone was feeling calm.
You can say the power of chanting mantras.(Buddhism). Luckily we reached on time for Morning Aarti (Worship Time).

After having breakfast we started for Pangong Lake.

It was famous due to 3 idiots Movie. So we all were very eager to see that World Famous lake.

The route was very scenic.

Chang La Pass Ladakh

Chang-La Top is like Khardung-La Top cause you get some severe headache due to high-altitute & lack of oxygen problem. Bring Kapur & good warm clothes with you.

“Pangong Tso, Tibetan for “high grassland lake”, also referred to as Pangong Lake, is an endorheic lake in the Himalayas situated at a height of about 4,350 m. It is 134 km long and extends from India to China.”

That feeling when we reached Pangong was marvellous.

We went to Rancho’s Point (3 idiots Movie) and had time over there. We sat over there and clicked many photos.

Pangong lake’s water having 7 different colours if you see in the sunlight. It was such a clean water in the way can see depth of the Pangong lake.

We had lunch in the hotel nearby lake as Maggie & snacks. They offered good food. Restaurant’s name was also Rancho’s Restaurant.

We started return journey on 3.00 PM.

Before Chang-La pass we took halt where we have seen Yak Fight.

  • Hello ,

I saw your tweets and thought I will check your website. Have to say it looks very good!
I’m also interested in this topic and have recently started my journey as young entrepreneur.

I’m also looking for the ways on how to promote my website. I have tried AdSense and Facebok Ads, however it is getting very expensive. Was thinking about starting using analytics. Do you recommend it?
Can you recommend something what works best for you?

Would appreciate, if you can have a quick look at my website and give me an advice what I should improve: http://janzac.com/
(Recently I have added a new page about FutureNet and the way how users can make money on this social networking portal.)

I have subscribed to your newsletter. 🙂

Hope to hear from you soon.

Maybe I will add link to your website on my website and you will add link to my website on your website? It will improve SEO of our websites, right? What do you think?

    Jan Zac
